Powervent Motors for Greenhouses
Strong, reliable vent motors that hold up to the moisture, dust, and daily cycling that kill cheaper motors.
Built for Greenhouses, Not General Use
Powervent motors are made for the environment you actually have, not the one a generic motor was designed for. A greenhouse is humid, dusty, and the vents are running open and closed all day. Most regular motors aren’t going to make it through a season in that kind of environment. Powervents will.
Airflow isn’t optional. The minute a vent motor quits, temperature climbs, humidity goes off, and your crop’s stressed. A solid motor is one of the cheapest insurance policies a grower can buy.
Why Go With Powervent
Sealed up tight
The housing keeps the humidity and condensation out, so the electrical parts inside don’t corrode.
Heavy gearing
Built to survive the open/close cycles that grind down lower-grade motors.
Consistent torque
Even force across the cycle. Easier on the vent arms and brackets, less stress on the hardware.
Efficient power draw
Strong output without pulling a ton of juice. Matters when you’ve got a dozen of them running.
What They’re Used For
- Roof vent drives on commercial greenhouses
- Sidewall ventilation and louver systems
- Curtain and shade automation
- Replacement motors on older greenhouse vent setups

Signs Your Vent Motor’s Going
- Vent’s not making the full open or close, or stops part way
- Grinding, humming, clicking noises during operation
- Moisture inside, rust, burn marks on the housing
- Vent circuit keeps tripping the breaker or blowing fuses
- Uneven vent travel or visible strain on the linkages
Don’t let it ride. A motor that’s failing usually takes the surrounding hardware with it, and replacing vent arms and brackets is way more expensive than a motor rebuild. Call us before it goes completely.
Install & Service
Powervents fit most standard mounting setups and work with the usual greenhouse controllers. We strongly recommend professional install. Doesn’t matter how good the motor is, if it’s wired wrong or mounted out of alignment it’s going to fail early. We’ve seen it dozens of times.
FAQ
How long does a Powervent typically last?
With a proper install and a little protection from direct overspray, growers usually get many seasons out of one before a rebuild is needed. How often the vents cycle and how loaded they are matters more than anything.
Can a damaged Powervent be rebuilt?
Usually yes. We open it up, look at the gearbox, brushes, and seals, and tell you whether it’s worth rebuilding or it’s time to swap it.
Will a Powervent fit what I’ve got?
Most of the time, yes. Standard mounting and wiring. Send us photos of your current motor and the vent linkage, we’ll confirm before you order anything.
Do you ship to Canada?
Yes, we deal with Canadian customers all the time.
What’s the rebuild turnaround?
Typically 5 to 10 business days from when we receive it, depending on parts.
